With the aging population as an imminent issue, we would like to show how serious the issue is by plotting out the population distribution across planning areas based on URA Masterplan 2014.
Planning Areas such as Bedok has the largest number of the aging population compared to others. In comparison to this, health care facilities were also plotted out in order to see whether there are enough facilities. [Proceed to Health Facilities Tab]
We plotted out Age-Sex Pyramid to see population distribution based on age group and gender. As seen from the chart, the population is more concentrated in the middle age groups which indicate aging population.
